— A MESSAGE FROM OUR HEADTEACHER
"I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and say how delighted I am to be joining such a welcoming and charming school community. Over the past few weeks, I have had the pleasure of getting to know the children, staff and families and I have been truly impressed by the warmth, enthusiasm and dedication that shine through every part of school life.
My aim as Headteacher is to build on the strong foundations already in place and to ensure that every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to achieve their very best. I am committed to working closely with families and staff so that together we can continue to create a school where children flourish academically, socially and emotionally.
Thank you for the kind messages and friendly conversations I have already received, they have made my start here incredibly positive. I look forward to meeting many more of you in the festive weeks ahead and to sharing in the successes and exciting opportunities that lie before us."

Village Community
We’re deeply rooted in village life - a small school with big heart. Families, teachers, and children build lasting relationships that form the foundation of learning and belonging.

Curious Learners
Our children are encouraged to ask questions, explore boldly, and enjoy the learning journey. We build confident learners with open minds and strong foundations for the future.

Values Driven
Our Christian ethos brings clarity and purpose to school life. Simplicity, kindness, and care guide everything we do, creating a space where values are lived, not just taught.

Led With Care
At ESPS, care shapes everything. It’s how we lead, teach, and support - creating a calm, trusting environment where every child feels known, safe, and empowered to grow.

— GUIDED BY FAITH
A Church Of England School
As a Church of England school, our Christian values are at the centre of daily life. Respect, responsibility, courage, and inspiration shape how we treat one another, how we approach challenges, and how we grow as individuals and as a school family. Collective worship, reflection, and prayer are regular parts of the school day, offering time for pupils to pause, consider their place in the world, and grow in faith and kindness.
Our close partnership with St. Lawrence Church is an important part of this journey. From seasonal services to weekly worship, the connection between church and school nurtures belonging and encourages children to explore how faith, values, and community go hand in hand. We believe that every child is uniquely made with their own purpose and potential. Together, we aim to help each one flourish academically, spiritually, and emotionally - growing in confidence and compassion.

— TRACKING PROGRESS
School Performance
OFSTED Reports
Read our latest inspection reports and find out how we’re meeting national expectations across teaching, safeguarding, and leadership.
SIAMS Reports
As a Church of England school, we are also inspected under the SIAMS framework, which assesses our Christian ethos and distinctiveness.
SATS Results
Due to our small Year 6 cohort, SATS results are not published statutorily — but we continue to support every pupil to meet their potential and prepare for a smooth transition to secondary school.
Performance Tables
Our performance is measured annually by the Department for Education, although data may not be shown due to our limited cohort size to protect pupil privacy.

– IN SERVICE TO OUR SCHOOL
Meet Our Governors
At Ecchinswell & Sydmonton, our role as governors is rooted in service to the children, families, and staff who make this school such a special place. We are here to support and strengthen the school’s vision, ensuring every decision we make reflects our shared values of respect, responsibility, courage and inspiration.
We are proud to be part of a school community that places the whole child at the heart of learning. As governors, we work closely with the Headteacher and leadership team to help shape the school’s future, ask the right questions, and ensure that every child has the opportunity to flourish academically, emotionally and socially.
