— WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL

Headteacher's Welcome

It is my absolute pleasure to welcome you to our school - a place where every child is supported, valued, and inspired to thrive. Nestled in the heart of the Hampshire countryside, Ecchinswell CE Primary is a nurturing community built on the Christian values of respect, responsibility, inspiration, and courage.
We pride ourselves on our high expectations and excellent teaching where all children are supported to flourish.  Our dedicated staff know what each pupil needs to make progress in their learning, and they foster a sense of belonging and confidence that shines through in the classroom and on the playground.

With our mixed-age classes, children benefit from a tailored curriculum that encourages collaboration, independence, and academic excellence.  Our pupils are enthusiastic learners who love reading, embrace challenges, and live out our STAR values - stickability, teamwork, aiming high, and resilience - in all they do.
From our inviting library to our generous outdoor spaces, every corner of Ecchinswell is designed to spark curiosity and joy.  We believe in developing the whole child so that when they leave us, they are not only academically well-prepared for the next stage of their education, but have also developed into kind, articulate, and thoughtful individuals.

If you’re looking for a school where your child will be cherished, challenged, and celebrated, we warmly invite you to book here for our Open Days and experience the Ecchinswell difference.

We look forward to welcoming you into our school family.

Warmly,

Paul Davies Interim Headteacher

Our Christian ethos brings clarity and purpose to school life. Simplicity, kindness, and care guide everything we do, creating a space where values are lived, not just taught.

— GUIDED BY FAITH

A Church Of England School

As a Church of England school, our Christian values are at the centre of daily life. Respect, responsibility, courage, and inspiration shape how we treat one another, how we approach challenges, and how we grow as individuals and as a school family. Collective worship, reflection, and prayer are regular parts of the school day, offering time for pupils to pause, consider their place in the world, and grow in faith and kindness.

Our close partnership with St. Lawrence Church is an important part of this journey. From seasonal services to weekly worship, the connection between church and school nurtures belonging and encourages children to explore how faith, values, and community go hand in hand. We believe that every child is uniquely made with their own purpose and potential. Together, we aim to help each one flourish academically, spiritually, and emotionally - growing in confidence and compassion.

— TRACKING PROGRESS

School Performance

We’re proud to share how our school is performing across key areas, including external inspections and national assessments. While our small cohort size sometimes limits how much data can be publicly reported, we remain committed to transparency and progress for every pupil.

OFSTED Reports

Read our latest inspection reports and find out how we’re meeting national expectations across teaching, safeguarding, and leadership.

SIAMS Reports

As a Church of England school, we are also inspected under the SIAMS framework, which assesses our Christian ethos and distinctiveness.

SATS Results

Due to our small Year 6 cohort, SATS results are not published statutorily — but we continue to support every pupil to meet their potential and prepare for a smooth transition to secondary school.

Performance Tables

Our performance is measured annually by the Department for Education, although data may not be shown due to our limited cohort size to protect pupil privacy.

– IN SERVICE TO OUR SCHOOL

Meet Our Governors

At Ecchinswell & Sydmonton, our role as governors is rooted in service to the children, families, and staff who make this school such a special place. We are here to support and strengthen the school’s vision, ensuring every decision we make reflects our shared values of respect, responsibility, courage and inspiration.

We are proud to be part of a school community that places the whole child at the heart of learning. As governors, we work closely with the Headteacher and leadership team to help shape the school’s future, ask the right questions, and ensure that every child has the opportunity to flourish academically, emotionally and socially.
